THE ISSUES WITH RCC & OTHER MATERIAL STRUCTURES

RCC structures have an average construction time of 155 days. They require plenty of labour to construct which can be very difficult to arrange due to labour unavailability and shortages. RCC structures also suffer from high admin cost and cost overruns due to delays. The water requirements are also very high during construction. Construction and curing of RCC structures also becomes very difficult during the rainy seasons. Lastly, RCC construction is associated with air and water pollution.
